The mod is barely in Beta so yes, it does have some issues but the author seems determined. On one hand I would say give it some time, but that depends on how deep you want your animation set-up to be. I'm testing it now and I would say that this mod is most likely the future, especially with the open source.

I see it has tons of errors and cba to deal with that. Sry for potential bad English but I hoped it helped :) The only animations that are not supported by Nemesis are creature animations, there's only 2 mods that does it on the nexus : Ultimate combat and Ultimate Dragon, and both are working on Nemesis, the other creature animations mod out there are from adult mods.Īlso side note : Nemesis doesn't scan your computer for programs you've installed and refuse to run if it finds something that its author doesn't like (Which FNIS does)
#Fnis skyrim worth it install#
There's virtually no downside using Nemesis over FNIS, the only downside is the 5min it's going to take to install it and run it, but at least with it you are guaranted to run every future animation mods, I've seen everything the nexus has to offer and never saw one mod that doesn't support nemesis So it really depend on what you want but keep this in mind : With Nemesis the modder can make compatibility himself, for you it mean more animations mods and more stablityīut now the REAL reason you might switch is that quality mods like CGO or The Ultimate Dodge mods or Character Behaviors only support Nemesis, and more are probably comming, I'm sure that in the future Nemesis will be the only one being used. When a modder make a mods with new animations, the only person able to make aĬompatibility patch between animations mod is Fore (the creator of FNIS), but since he retired it's impossible to improve compatibility between mod (for exemple TUDM and ultimate combat). I already said it but Nemesis is written in a way that reduce potential performance lossesĪlso Nemesis is still being developped where FNIS has been abandoned I think there's no reason to NOT switch, Nemesis does everything that FNIS does without performance loss.įNIS has a limit of 6000 animations that can be pushed to ~10000 but not very stable, Nemesis can output 15000 animations without issue (but in all my years playing Skyrim i've never went above 10000)
